Who doesn’t like gelato??? In Florence too!

We survived the three-leg flight to Florence with very little sleep, thanks to a much too curious little princess. By the time we arrived, she was so exhausted she crashed in the taxi on the way from the airport to the apartment. She didn’t seem to care it was her first birthday yesterday until 1am. At that time, she decided it was her party and she’d cry if she wanted too – which she did.

So today was our first full day exploring beautiful Florence. Addison seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself, despite 3 hours of no sleep in the middle of the night! She loves sitting in her stroller taking in all the action – pedestrians, tourists, cars, scooters, and the pigeon scavengers. She gets lots of “ooohs” and “aaaahs” and “piccolino” from the locals.

She was not too impressed with the works of art at the famous Uffizi Museum. Then she slept right through Michelangelo’s statue of David.

Then we thought we would let her taste gelato. Hmmmm that didn’t go over so well! So far, not too enthused by gelato, which is fine by us because it means more for Mommy and Daddy.
