House of Pain

Get me out of this place!

So it started off with a bad round of teething last week. Then there were immunizations on Thursday. And that’s all been capped off by five days of intermittent low-grade fever. The transplant nurses decided Addison needed to get a doctor to check her out so we had a quick visit with our pediatrician today. Of course, he didn’t find anything obvious. It’s never that straight forward with the princess! There is some kind of rhinovirus going around and her symptoms are pretty consistent with that. So hopefully the fever goes away on its own in the next couple of days or we will be back for more poking and prodding.

In the meantime, Addison alternates between happy and cuddly, to cranky and cantankerous. She is already showing us her independent streak so we are enjoying the extra cuddles whenever she offers them up.

Love,

Elaine, Aaron and Addison

  1. Sick kid = no one sleeps. We have an extremely cranky and droopy little one right now too. Lots of time to sit on the couch and cuddle and watch the Olympics though. Hope you’ll be on the mend soon and the doctor’s visit wasn’t too traumatic.
