So much to be thankful for…

There is so much to be thankful for in the McYong household, and while we try to remember that every day, it’s always good to have an entire weekend that revolves around THANKS.

We are thankful we have gotten to know Addison’s donor family this year. We are thankful Felicia did not hesitate when asked about donating her beautiful daughter Audrey’s organs. We are thankful for the unconditional love of family near and far. We are thankful for all the buses and Skytrains on our streets because Addison is crazy about public transit. We are thankful for the amazing medical system we have in Canada . We are thankful for Lao-lao and Gong-gong who live less than 2km away – they are always willing to help care for Addison. We are thankful for the gorgeous sunshine we’ve had for the last couple of months. We are thankful for the wonderful medical professionals at BC Children’s Hospital who look after our princess. We are thankful for Dora – as annoying as she may be, somehow Addison adores her.

We are thankful for the opportunity to watch our daughter grow up. We are thankful to be at her side as she experiences new things for the first time. We are thankful for all the laughs. We are especially thankful for continued good health and happiness. Happy Thanksgiving!
