Operation Popcorn at BC Children’s Hospital!

For 22 years, transplant recipients have brought festive tins of popcorn to the caregivers at hospitals around the province as a thank-you for all their hard work. The staff in ERs, ICUs and ORs often deal with the tragic side of organ donation, taking care of donors and their families, so this is a chance for them to see what that amazing gift of life can do. Addison was a big help on our first year taking part in Operation Popcorn. Not sure how it happened but she even managed to make it home with a bag of caramel popcorn, even after I explained to her it was for the nurses.

Right now, 507 British Columbians are waiting for a life-saving transplant. Please register.

  1. What a nice, festive way to say THANK YOU to the staff at the hospital!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Looks like Addison was a happy little helper! 🙂

  2. Maybe Addison brought the caramel corn home because she one day plans to become a Nurse and help kids like her … it is all good and what a nice way to say thank you to the hospital staff… I have been following your series on Global Elaine… well done and thank you for getting the awareness out there…. hugs to the McYongs…
