Getting into the Christmas spirit – my toddler made me do it!

We aren’t Scrooges but we have never been all Martha Stewart about Christmas. Yes, we get a real tree (most of the time), and Aaron is forced to put up lights. However, having a demanding little busybody in the house somehow makes you feel compelled to ramp it up a notch or two. Case in point – we actually went to a tree farm to pick out and cut down our own Christmas tree.

The Princess has been fighting her second cold of the season without much fanfare. She hasn’t slowed down at all. One of her new favourite things? Ice skating! Decorating a gingerbread house was also pretty awesome, in her opinion. (Thanks to the Children’s Organ Transplant Society for another great Christmas party with a fantastic group of transplant families.)

Addison helped decorate the little tree in our front yard during Vancouver’s first snow “storm” of the season. She wasn’t so keen on the snow. “But I can’t ride my bike!” was her dismayed reaction.

Hope all of you are getting into the Christmas spirit too. Only 10 days to go!

Love,

Elaine, Aaron and Addison

  2. The COTS event was wonderful. It was inspiring to see all the kids running around having fun. The gift of life is the best gift to give or receive. Wishing everyone health & happiness for 2014!
