A great finish for rider #038 in the Penticton #Piccolofondo!!

Four years, two months and three days ago, our little girl got a second chance at life. Today, another milestone to show how incredibly far she has come. Addison took on yet another challenge with her usual zest and optimism – her first bike race. While Aaron will be riding 160 kilometres tomorrow in the Axel Merckx Granfondo through the southern Okanagan (with 2500 other cyclists), this afternoon’s Piccolofondo for the little riders was definitely the highlight. Addison and her cousins ripped through downtown Penticton. Ok, maybe ripped isn’t the most accurate description, but they certainly owned their respective rides. Addison and Manny were in the 4-5 year old heat, which meant a loop around a full city block.

I got a little teary watching her just loving life and giving it her all. It’s hard to describe that incredible feeling that overflows my heart – damn I am so so so lucky to be the mom of this amazing little soul.
